Il Borro is a medieval village with origins in the 11th century, in the Valdarno between Florence and Arezzo. Ferruccio Ferragamo discovered it during a hunt in 1985 and later restored the whole hamlet into a Relais & Châteaux resort.
The estate spreads over around 700 acres of wild hills, vineyards and woods, with villas, farmhouses and suites in and around the village. An old stone bridge, artisan workshops and a winery give it a lived-in, authentic charm that guests remember.
Photographing your wedding here
I would plan portraits on the old bridge and in the village lanes, then out in the vineyards with the Pratomagno ridge behind you. The village is lovely for candid photos of your guests too.
