Kodarinov Mlin is one of the last two old mills in the Dragonja Valley, restored by the Kodarin family into a rustic venue in the Istrian hills. It's a short drive from Portorož and Piran, and the soft evening light over the valley is ideal for unhurried portraits.
As the evening came we walked up to the roofless walls of an old stone church and the light came through the arches in long golden lines. The bride spun around with the green hills of the Dragonja Valley behind her, and then the tent filled up and the dancing didn’t stop until late.

It includes a garden ceremony on a petal-covered aisle, time inside the roofless walls of an old stone church, sunset in the hills and a reception in the tent, with a ginger cat who joined the party.

A short drive from Portorož and Piran, so many couples add a sunset session by the sea.
