A countryside wedding at Pristava

Pristava sits in the green hills of central Slovenia, not far from the old Cistercian abbey of Stična and under an hour from Ljubljana. Meadows, woods and long views in every direction make it ideal for an outdoor wedding where everything happens in one beautiful place.

We arrived by carriage, married under the tent with the hills behind the couple, and finished the evening with the sun going down behind a red convertible. From above, the glowing tent in the dusk looked like a lantern in the countryside.

Between the big moments there were lovely small ones: the father of the bride with the microphone, guests laughing at every line; a fluffy little dog cuddled at the reception; the two of them laughing in the front seats of the convertible. And from above, as the sun went down, the tent glowed like a lantern among the hills.
