Villa Balbiano is a 17th-century Baroque villa on the western shore of Lake Como, near Ossuccio. In the late 1700s it was home to Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, who filled it with artists and poets, and its halls are still covered in frescoes, putti and trompe-l'oeil.
Outside, a lakeside garden with a lawn, topiaries, statues and fountains runs down to a private pier, so you and your guests can arrive by wooden Riva boat. The villa can host up to around 200 guests outdoors.
