Castello Dal Pozzo stands in Oleggio Castello, just a couple of kilometres from Lake Maggiore. Once a Visconti fortress, it was rebuilt in the 19th century as a romantic neo-Gothic castle, and the Dal Pozzo family has lived here for six generations.
Around the castle there is a large historic park and, next to it, an 18th-century palazzo with an Italian garden. It is only about half an hour from Milan Malpensa airport, which makes it easy for guests from abroad, and with rooms on site the party never has to end early.
Photographing your wedding here
I love the contrast here: the towers and Gothic windows for elegant portraits, and the old trees of the park for soft, natural moments. If you have time, a short trip to the shore of Lake Maggiore for sunset photos is absolutely worth it.
