Castello di Strassoldo di Sopra is one of the oldest family castles in Friuli, in the little village of Strassoldo near Cervignano and Aquileia. The Counts of Strassoldo had settled here before 1077, and in the 19th century Field Marshal Radetzky lived in the castle after marrying a countess of the family.

The residence opens onto a centuries-old park bordered by water, with gardens, a rose arch and the chapel of San Nicolò. The restored Cancelleria hosts up to around 250 guests across three halls, and there are rooms and holiday houses on the estate for a longer stay.

Strassoldo is quiet, green and full of history: water, old trees, a rose arch and family halls with portraits on the walls. It is perfect for natural, unhurried photos, and the soft light under the trees is lovely even in the middle of the day.
