Villa di Geggiano lies in the hills of Castelnuovo Berardenga, a few kilometres from Siena. The property came to the Bianchi Bandinelli family in 1527, and in 1768 the farmhouse was turned into a villa with a private chapel and gardens to celebrate a family wedding.
Between 1768 and 1779 Ignazio Moder painted the rooms with frescoes of family, friends and the seasons, and the formal gardens include an outdoor theatre where the poet Vittorio Alfieri performed. Today the villa hosts weddings and events, has two suites and produces its own wine and organic olive oil.
Photographing your wedding here
A villa built to celebrate a wedding, still in the same family, is a story I love to tell. I would photograph you in the painted rooms, on the stage of the garden theatre and among the vineyards around the house at sunset.
